Great Service

Was told by my BMW repair shop that my e46 DME was bad and they quoted me $2000 to replace it. I purchased a used DME from eBay for $40 and shipped it over along with my key and EWS. Received my "new" DME back within a few days and it fired right up. Unfortunately it did not resolve my issue ( apparently the DME is not the culprit after all ), but that is not the fault of RPM, they did what they were supposed to do and I would highly recommend them!

My 2003 BMW Z4 had a bricked DME. I sent it out to RPM MOTORSPORT and they were able to reprogram the computer and return it to me in less than 48 hrs. I installed the DME and the car fired up for the first time since purchacing it!! Thx RPM!!!

Satisfied but not as expected

Product did not arrive next day. UPS claimed it was due to weather but there was no refund for difference for it not arriving next day but instead 3 day. So that was expensive shipping for slow delivery. I was under the impression they would program the ECU to match my car's VIN. Instead they programmed my key and security to match the VIN of the used ECU I sent them. Not what I would have chosen to happen. Otherwise they followed my special instructions to the letter and saved me a lot of money. I would do business with them again but I would ask a lot more questions about what I would be getting back. Their customer service representative was kind, knowledgable and spoke plain understandable American English. That was a bit of a treat in my recent attempts to get a working ECU in this car.

<p> I would only assume that your mechanic hasn't been very honest with you from the start.</p>

<p>1. We can only program the unit based on the Order fulfilled (Which had your Original VIN number) and we use the Original VIN number from the EWS and the Key which you agreed with me that it was the Original VIN number.</p>

<p>2. You said later on that your mechanic programmed a KEY for you that you have bought brand new from the dealer, you can pass the word to your mechanic that this is simply untrue and here is why. BMW sends their KEYS completely programmed to your EWS, the only thing your mechanic can do is perform Remote Programming, which we offer on our website for FREE since you dont need a diagnostic tool, however we don’t expect you to pay for it. <p>3. At RPM MOTORSPORT LTD. We are completely transparent on our products and services. As we don't expect Service centers would do the same, we are here to educate our clients so they don't get overcharged, just because they don't understand the process and details behind it.</p>

<p>The conclusion here is that Almovi Vehicle Electronics did Not like the fact that you made a USED ECU start your engine, simply because they get a good $250 profit from NEW ECU's from the Dealerships that would cost you $1800.</p>

<p>Rest assured that your VIN number is 100% correct and when you go for smog and state inspection you will PASS 100%. We have been doing this for over 15 year.</p>

<p>I wish you all the best and once again I hope I gave you enough information so that you can have a word with your mechanic.</p>

Fast & Painless on swapping used DME in an E39

After going thru all the options and submitting my order the whole process was super easy from printing out the shipping label, sending both DMEs out and being able to track the order in order to keep my customer updated. Turnaround time was great and once I got the DME back after putting it in and doing a quick EWS alignment the car started right up & ran perfect.

When I first called RPM to ask about their DME services, Gabe took my call. We discussed every single option that I had available in order to fix my problem. I had already wasted about $2000 at the dealer to fix nothing, so it was time to try other options and luckily I found RPM Motorsport through a thread on E46Fanatics. With cost in mind, Gabe led me to their DME Reprogramming option. I bought a used DME from eBay for cheap and sent it to RPM with my EWS and key, and had it shipped back to me and in my car within 3 days. Their customer service and turnaround time is second to none. I was even more surprised when I got in my car and immediately noticed that it was running better than it ever had since I have owned the car. Better throttle response, quicker to accelerate, better gas mileage, and it was even quieter. Gabe was a pleasure to work with, we could tell that he really cared about fixing my car and was there with us every step of the way. Everyone needs to know about RPM!

2001 330i ECM Re-Programming

I have owned several BMWs for over 20 years including a dedicated track car which participated at events at Sebring and have always done my own servicing. Working with this group has been the most outstanding experience dealing in parts and service I have ever been through...from my initial phone call for HELP...amazing turn-around time... to Zach spending more than 20 minutes talking and guiding me through a reprogramming process as my dash was full of warning lights. Totally awesome...better than Christmas morning!
