I paid $2k for my car, so the idea of spending $500 on this one service was a hard pill to swallow. But once the cold weather set in, I bit the bullet. The car would have a horrible surging idle when it was cold and turn off randomly before it even could get warm. I’d have to reset the codes constantly to get it working after it stalled. The people at rpm were super helpful and made the process very simple. When I received my ecu back I installed it back in, and it has worked flawlessly ever since. Highly recommended if your e46 has cold start issues.

Don’t hesitate to trust RPM Motorworks with your repairs. I reached out to customer service as I was hesitant to ship off parts to a company I didn’t know much about. Lee responded quickly and confirmed they could fix my problem on my E46. He wrote me up an order sheet in an email making it very easy for me to purchase. Overnight shipping there and back. They had my parts there for less than a day. After scanning the car the codes I was looking to whip were gone. Overall great experience and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

I’ve been having idle and vehicle dying out issues on my 2004 bmw 330i. I went through normal diagnostics and found no issues with wiring or supply to the idle control valve. I also cleaned out the idle control valve with no success. I began pulling faults and found the dme: self test check sum which was the same faults that required the dme repair. I sent my computer out to RPM motor sports who was quick to support me. I sent my DME out during the week and received the DME quickly with no issues. It was a quick turnaround and after clearing any pending faults the vehicle ran great and no issues on idle or cold starts.

Been having cold start issues with my vehicle for the longest. Did a lot of checks and research and found this repair service. Messaged support and got response the next day, extremely fast! 100% satisfied. It took me a bit of time to pinpoint the DME as the fault but once I did, the turn around was fast with overnight shipping both ways. Totally corrected issue and car has not duplicated issue. Thanks!

Ordered a cloned ecm from a different source. Installed it and did the same thing. The other company told me it couldn't be the ecm because it was setting the same codes. Sent the original ecm to RPM motorsports and in less then 1 weeks time including shipping both ways from USA to Canada and back I had a perfectly running bmw. I highly recommend RPM Motorsports. I had numerous codes associated with a bad DME, and my car would stall shortly after starting. I ordered the service on Saturday, they sent me an overnight UPS label Monday morning, I mailed it out the same day. UPS didn't deliver it until Wednesday... they fixed it same day, mailed it out and it was in my car Thursday. It has been running perfectly ever since. Can't ask for much more than that! (Maybe go with Fedex, haha)

RPM turned around my order very quickly. I had the P16A0 code on my 2004 BMW X3, their reprogramming fixed the issue and the car runs great now. Would highly recommend RPM Motorsport for all DME repair and replacement needs, they are true experts.

So far so good with my cold weather starting/running problem.We have had a couple nights at about 20 degrees F and all is well.It will get put to the test in Minnesota here in the winter!
